This week Sam and I had some fun celebrating spring by making some fun hand print paper flowers.
Aren't they pretty! I had a lot of fun doing it, Sam had fun to the first flower and then was done, this is probably a project more for older children, so we will definitely doing this again in the coming years. Keep reading to see how to make them.
What you need
- Colored Paper
- Straws (or Popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners...anything that can be a stem)
- Glue
- Tape
- Scissors
- Pen
- Jar for finished flowers
- A cute, clean, little hand
Trace hands on paper and cut out
cut yellow paper into thin strips and curl using a pen, glue onto lower palm of hand print, then tape straw to lower palm of hand.
Roll pinkie and thumb of hand print towards each other, tape at bottom creating a cone shape.
Curl fingers using pen to form flower
And you are done! Super easy!!
We made other flowers too, a Gerber Daisy out of four hand prints glued together on the edges and adding a yellow circle to the middle, and a big Lilly using three hand prints, glue edges and forming like the small Lilly. Hope you enjoy!
