Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter, it was very quiet and low key (we will be celebrating with family this weekend)
The boys loved their matching ties and even mom matched this time!
So handsome!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

St. Patrick's Day

To celebrate St. Patrick's Day we set up a Leprechaun trap in hopes to catch one and make a wish! Sam wanted to wish that his stuffed dog Pal would turn real and talk :) So we got all the things Leprechaun like...Chocolate coins, Root Beer, and rainbows. Sam made the rainbows with pipe cleaners and beads and felt adding Kool Aid would add more color. We hoped our laundry basket would be enough to hold him :)

Well we dint catch him and he caused some silly mischief, he had a tea party with some of Sam's friends.

He didn't even finish his chocolate and he left little rainbow treats everywhere!

He also made some pancakes and left some for us and they were green but he made a mess with the flour leaving foot prints! Sam loved these and Colten loved making a mess with the flour!

And he left us all a little treat! A boat for Sam, animal crackers for Colten, a new hat for dad and chocolate for mom! He also drank one of the sodas!

It was all so much fun! And Sam is already talking about how to make a better trap for next year!

Hope You Had A Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween this year. Here is our trunk from the trunk or treat we did with our ward. We had our fog machine and strobe light going but you cant see it in the picture.
Here is Sams first pumpkin he ever helped do, he loved drawing on the face. He did not love pulling out the seeds, so I ended up doing it (he has an issues with getting anything slimy or sticky on his hands like his dad)
Colten decked out in his duck costume, I was really glad with how it came out!
Super Sam! He loves his costume and is so glad now he can wear it.
I was glad he had the idea of adding a hood to his costume it got cold near the end of his trick or treating and was able to use it to keep his ears warm.
Do you see the little tail...its my fav!
Two of the cutest boys!
Here are our pumpkins mine is the one eating another one.
Stephen made a pacman ghost, sadly Monday is Stephens busiest day of the week but luckily he had enough time to quickly do his pumpkin with us.
Hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween!!

Pumpkin Patch 2011

We went to Hee Haw farms this year for our pumpkin patch trip, we have been there before and had so much fun we had to go again!

Colten enjoyed his first hay ride, I was glad he didn't spend the entire time trying to eat the hay.
My handsome boys.
I love their pumpkin patch not only do you get to pick pumpkins on the vein but they grow below giant sunflowers. Sam kept saying we were on a treasure hunt!
He found just the right one.
I think both boys favorite was the corn pile
Colten did get one corn in his mouth but mom came to the rescue and fished it out.
We did my first real corn maze (at least the first one I remember). I really didn't love it, the map they give you doesn't tell you where the entrance is and they said you would see signs were you answer questions to know which way to turn...well we never saw a single sign!
Part of it was our fault though why I didn't like it we did the maze to late and it was getting dark and really cold and I didn't have a coat for Colten. Oh well maybe we will try again next year.
Look how tall my little/big guy is!
and how big my really little guy is!
We had so much fun, now Sam keeps asking when we are going back :)

Halloween Costume Sneak Peek

Here is a little sneak peek at Sam's Halloween costume. Please ignore the messy living room behind him, Colten had fun dumping three toy tubs during school time.

We all have superhero names around out house, Danger Dad, Mighty Mom, Super Sammy, and Captain Colten. So for Halloween I decided to make Sam his Super Sammy costume. Its more like pajamas then a dress up outfit so he can wear it more. I finished his cape yesterday and he loves it! He still has it on today!!

Headless Chickens

And the chicken said "where's my head!?!"

Ever heard the expression I feel life I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off? not really sure where it came from, and I know it normally means you are doing lots of things but not accomplishing much; I have been doing tons but also accomplishing TONS the problem is I feel like my list is never shrinking!

I am not complaining I would never give up anything I am doing, its just all falling around the same time and I am finding it hard to accomplish everything I would like to (sounds like a problem most moms have).

Currently I am working on a collage course on Teaching Elementary Children in the Outdoors, finishing up projects for family members, accepting and working on Etsy orders, working on homeschooling with Sam (I can't believe how fast he is learning!), preparing for our move to Utah in July, preparing for our beach trip next week, starting back to work part-time, and I am sure I left things off, like the most important, raising my boys, and building a stronger relationship with my husband (which is a must after having a baby!).

All these things have put my blog towards the bottom of my list, and feeling guilty about all my new readers not having anything to read! I promise to get things going as soon as I can, but it will be a couple weeks before I get constant posts going again. I will keep the linky parties going, and what I can get done I will.

Now after my complaining here are some cute picture from our Easter weekend, I hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter.

We hide our eggs around the house, Sam really enjoyed finding them and putting them all in his basket, but fore some reason he was afraid the Easter Bunny would come back and take them....
Colten cute as ever
I love those deep blue eyes!

Tasty Treats Tuesday: Rainbow Cake Bites

So I saw these amazing yummy Cake Bites at http://www.sugarderby.com/blog/2011/3/5/i-wanna-know-where-tha-gold-at.html I had to give them a try. Well lets say it didn't turn out as beautiful as Sugar Derby's and I was in a huge rush and didn't realize I started with the wrong color so I didn't have enough for very many and I started way to big! So I would follow Sugar Derby's tutorial and I wish you better luck! Even though it didn't turn out how I wanted it to look, it did taste amazing!
