My Snap Pliers Have Arrived!

I really wanted to add plastic snaps to my diaper covers but could not afford a snap press, well another mom online told me about plastic snap pliers and I just had to buy some!
Here is my latest diaper, with the pliers I got a bunch of different colored snaps and I have been having a blast making more diapers for Colten.
The snaps in the middle are for making the diaper smaller, its a medium diaper but when you snap it down it becomes a small cover.
Colten seems to like his new diapers too!
This is what my snap pliers look like, I got a package of 200 snap sets in different colors and a few other tools with my press for 39.99 at Assuntastore.com

Here is a diaper I already had made but had Velcro I removed the Velcro and added snaps
It looks a lot like the other one but if you look close you see red star snaps!

Kalahari Resorts

This post brought to you by Kalahari® Resorts. All opinions are 100% mine.

I found out about Kalahari Resort in Sandusky Ohio today and it sounds like a dream vacation.

This resort has so much to offer, a safari where you can feed the animals and even take a camel ride! Pottery, arcades (including bowling!!), shopping, spa, and an indoor and outdoor swim park including little water slides for the young adventurers and large ones for the adults including a water slide called the Zimbabwe Zipper which reaches speeds of 40 MPH!

The outdoor safari adventure also includes a three level rope course, and 400 foot long zip line, I have always wanted to try out a zip line!!

If we visited the park I would be so excited to try all the different exciting adventures available, I know my boys would LOVE the Tree top play area that is available, it is a jungle themed play area with slides and climbing structures as well as a ball cannon where you can load soft balls and shoot them in the air! Sam would have a blast with that!

Click here to check out their summer deals for a dream family get away!

Now why am I telling you about Kalahari Resorts? Because there is a contest that Kalahari and IZEA are running where you can win a free stay at Kalahari Resort a $200 value!

Family Friday: Brownies!

For Sam's birthday he got an apron and a box of brownie mix. We decided we needed a break from all our projects, school work and unpacking and made some yummy brownies, sadly we couldn't find Sam's apron, he wore it to bed one night so I am sure its lots in his bed.
I tried to let him do almost everything. He loved licking the spoon!
He was very proud to show off his yummy work.

Family Friday: Fun in the Sand/Rocks and more

On our last beach trip I really wanted to collect some sand from the beach to make a sand box for Sam. Well the beach we went to had small little rocks instead of sand but Sam still loves his little box.

I put an empty tums bottle, an empty Easter egg, and tongue depressor in with his rocks and let him borrow a garden shovel and funnel.

He found some small twigs and was pretending they were plants and kept planting them.
The grey lid is to catch the rocks he misses (which is a lot!) we just pour it back in when he is done playing.
I am also really excited that we have our cloths line set up again! It saves us so much money not having to dry everything, even though these diapers got rained on twice (random thunderstorms) so I did end up just drying them because I needed a diaper for Sam to go to bed.
My last big news is I have really been wanting to get back in shape, and I really enjoy running but I don't feel comfortable going by myself and we can't afford to pay someone to stay with the boys if we went together. Well I found a great deal on craigslist last night and we got this double jogging stroller! We took it for a nice walk today and the boys loved it! Can't wait to take it for a jog tomorrow!!

We have been slowly unpacking here in Utah, my parents went back home leaving behind lots of sadness. Our place is really hot right now due to the air conditioning being out and it being between 85-95 outside making it 80 inside our house ( I know many have had much worse weather, but I am a big baby when it comes to hot weather!)
Well on to the fun stuff I have lots of inspirational and yummy things to highlight this week!

I love this adorable potato salad by Lady Behind the Curtain

Cryaon Freckles had a great idea of how to use a muffin tin, tongs and poof balls...thats what we call them :)  to make math fun

I had no clue that you could make your own finger nail polish, Heck Fridays had a great tutorial on how she made her very own polish, I can't wait to try this!

I was so excited for GeorgiaBE's tutorial on using button hold elastic I didn't know you could buy button hold elastic and now really want to put it in Sam's pants, he is really tall and skinny so his pants are always falling down or too short.
Mom to 2 Polish Lil Divas shared a fun idea for making hand print fish, Sam loves to paint his hands!

I fell in love with these Flip Flop and Flamingo candy cupcake toppers that Lady Behind the Curtain created, so cute!
Domestic Deadline made this cute Lake Lounger, I could see myself lounging in our community pool on these hot days!
I really want to make a water table like the one Mom to 2 Polish Lil Divas made for her girls for Sam, I know he would love it!
